Today, on 16 May 2024, the Chairman of the Competition Authority, Mr. Denar Biba, welcomed an official delegation from the Turkish Competition Authority to the premises of the Competition Authority. The delegation included Mr. Hasan Hüseyin Ünlü and Mr. Berat Uzun, Members of the Competition Board, as well as Mr. Ferhat Topkaya, Deputy President of the Turkish Competition Authority.
During this visit were exchanged ideas and opinions on the best practices of the two institutions, with particular emphasis on the need for mutual cooperation, the exchange of experiences between the two institutions, and the possibility of training to enhance the capacities of the staff of the Albanian Competition Authority.
Following the official visit, the Turkish delegation was accompanied to the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, where a courtesy meeting was held with the Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Finance, Mr. Eduard Shalsi. During this visit, Mr. Shalsi emphasized, among other things, the need to intensify bilateral relations between Albania and Turkey in the field of competition.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Turkish Competition Authority delegation invited the Chairman of the Competition Authority, Mr. Biba, and Mr. Eduard Shalsi to be part of the conference on competition, which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 30 September to 2 October 2024.
