The Mission of the Competition Authority

  • The Albanian Competition Authority operates to ensure free and effective competition in the market under the law “On Competition Protection” based on three main pillars that determine the protection of competition: abuse of dominant position; prohibited agreements in the form of cartels and mergers or acquisitions of undertakings, and the entire legal framework governing the activity of an independent institution in the Republic of Albania. This service conceives of its operation as a promoter and advocate of competition and consumer interests, with the ultimate goal of generating market growth.
