In the framework of promoting the culture of competition with the aim of protecting free and effective competition in the market, and to effectively combat agreements in offers in public procurement procedures, the Competition Authority, in cooperation with the Municipality of Berat, developed today, on on September 22, the Workshop on the topic “On increasing the culture of competition and strengthening cooperation with business in public procurement procedures in the sense of Law no. 9121, dated 28.07.2003 “On the protection of Competition”. In an interactive conversation with participants from the business community in the Berat district, the Chairman of the Competition Authority, Mr. Denar Biba, discussed the main specifics of the legislation for the protection of competition, the need to strengthen cooperation between business and CA in the function of detection and punishment of prohibited agreements in public procurement, as well as increasing the proactive role of enterprises in guaranteeing compliance with competition rules.
