By decision no. 538, dated 20.07.2018 “On giving some recommendations to increase competition in the air transport service market in the Republic of Albania”, the Competition Commission decided:
1. To recommend to the Council of Ministers to request the Authorized State Body (ASB):
– Pursuant to point 19.2 (a) of the International Airport Concession Contract in the capacity of the Authorized State Body and in cooperation with the concession company to review the Airport Services Payments as foreseen every three years.
– Due to the position of the concession company, as the only provider for the international passenger transport services, ASB has to compile and to approve a methodology / regulation for setting airport fees, as well as tariffs to be cost-oriented.

2. To request the Commission of Economy and Finance and the Commission on Production, Trade and Environment of the Albanian Parliament, the support to enable the implementation of the recommendations of this Decision.
