The Commission for Protection of Competition in the Republic of Serbia organized on 20th April 2018 for the national Competition Day: “New Digital Agenda” conference in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Chairwoman of the Albanian Competition Authority, Prof. Dr. Juliana Latifi was invited to present the Albanian experience in the panel “A new agenda for the region – Challenges of competition authorities for business, politics, competitive environment and innovation”.
In this panel participated the chairpersons of competition authorities in the region: Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Turkey and representatives from the European Commission.
The discussions highlighted the role and importance of co-operation between the Western Balkan countries for the implementation of competition policy and law and the exchange of ideas and experiences between competition authorities, following European standards both in the approximation of the legal framework and in the pursuit of concrete cases.
