Rezana Konomi Perolla
Ms. Rezana Konomi (Perolla) graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana in 1990. She initially started her career as a legal advisor at the Legal Aid Office, then known as the Tirana Lawyers’ Association, and later worked as a lawyer at the Tirana Judicial District Court. Immediately after completing her studies, she embarked on an academic career as a teacher/lecturer at the Department of Civil Law, where she remained until the year 2000. In 2000, she began a new endeavor at the Ombudsman’s Institution from its inception, assuming the role of legal expert, which she held until 2009.
In 2009, she was appointed as a member of the Competition Commission by the Assembly of Albania, based on a decree issued by the President of the Republic of Albania. She was subsequently elected Vice-Chairman of the Commission by her colleagues and served in that position for approximately six years. In 2015, she fully dedicated herself to the academic field and was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law at “Luarasi” Non-Public University, a position she held until October 2021. In October 2021, she was elected as a member of the Competition Commission at the Competition Authority by a decree issued by the President of the Republic and approved by the Assembly of Albania.
In 2012, Ms. Rezana Konomi (Perolla) obtained a doctoral degree in Sciences and currently holds the title of Associate Professor. Throughout her professional experience, she has made significant contributions to the academic field, with numerous publications, studies, monographs, and scientific articles in both domestic and international scientific journals. She has also participated in numerous national and international training programs. Additionally, Mrs. Konomi has been involved in various working groups for the drafting of legislation and other legal and regulatory acts. She currently holds licenses as a lawyer and a legal mediator.
