Mrs. Adriana Berberi was elected a member of the Competition Authority Commission, by
Decision no. 7, dated 29.01.2018 of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania. Mrs. Berberi completed her university studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, obtaining a degree in Finance – Accounting in 1980. In 2006, Mrs. Berberi completed her Master of Science in “European Studies”, at the University of Tirana. She has a 38-year professional career in important areas and sectors of the Albanian economy. Initially, she started working in the banking sector, as an investment expert at the Bank of Albania. In the years 1991 -1997, she worked as a specialist in the Budget Directorate of the Ministry of
Finance. Subsequently, she has held the positions of Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy Minister of Economy. Mrs. Berberi has also held the position of Head of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet from February to September 2002. Mrs. Berberi has an extensive teaching experience, as she has been an external lecturer at the
Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana (1986-1990) for the courses: Analysis of economic activity of undertakings and Basics of Economics.
In 2008-2013, she was the main professor for the courses “Public Finances” and “Fiscalization”,as well as the Delegated Administrator at the HEI “Marin Barleti University”.During the years 2013 – 2017, she was the Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Education and Sports.In her extensive professional experience, she has represented the Albanian state in various financial institutions, holding the position of Deputy Governor of Albania at the EBRD, Vice President and Chairman of the Board at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank for the years 1997-2005.During the years 2013-2017, she was the Chair of the Public Oversight Board and is currently a
member of this board. She holds the license of Certified Public Accountant and Legal Auditor.
