By decision no. 526, dated 14.06.2018 “On the opening of the preliminary investigation procedure in the mediation of insurance market by second level banks”, the Competition Commission decided to open a preliminary investigation procedure in the mediation of insurance market by second level banks for the period from 1 January 2016 to 31 May 2018. The Albanian Competition Authority is reasonably in doubt, that two of the largest banks in the loan market may present abusive behavior regarding the application of various conditions for identical commercial transactions with the parties in the mediation service for life and non-life insurance.
