Call for expressions of interest to participate in the Discussion and Consultation Roundtables of Chapter 8 – Competition Policy.
What is the European Integration Partnership Platform?
Within the framework of the European integration process, the approximation of national legislation with that of the EU, the drafting of strategic documents, and the final presentation of the Albanian negotiating team before EU negotiators require high-quality preparation and intensive consultations with all actors in society.
In this context, the establishment of 35 discussion and consultation roundtables has been foreseen. These correspond to the 33 chapters of the EU acquis and the 3 criteria that will be negotiated as part of the European Integration Partnership Platform.
Within the framework of these roundtables, communication and consultation on the European integration process are carried out between the Competition Authority, as the leader and coordinator of Chapter 8 “Competition Policy,” and representatives of organizations, associations, or groups that have a particular interest in the areas covered by this chapter.
How Does the European Integration Partnership Platform (PPIE) Function?
Pursuant to Prime Minister’s Order No. 113, dated 30.08.2019, “On the forms of participation, functioning, and institutional structure of the European Integration Partnership Platform,” the main purpose of each roundtable is to discuss, review, and adopt positions and recommendations addressed to the institutions, the Secretariat for European Integration, and other structures responsible for the European Integration process, regarding the specific areas they cover.
The roundtables are also consulted in relation to the programming, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of European Union assistance to Albania.

Who Can Apply?
Pursuant to Prime Minister’s Order No. 113, dated 30.08.2019, “On the forms of participation, functioning, and institutional structure of the European Integration Partnership Platform,” members of these roundtables may include representatives of civil society organizations, local government, the business community, workers’ associations, academia, the media, and interest groups.
How to Apply?
The application is submitted by sending a letter of interest clearly expressing the link and interest in the relevant fields, along with the CV of the person or group represented, explaining their expertise and interest to contribute to the “Discussion Roundtable on Competition Policy” for Chapter 8 “Competition Policy.”
