The Competition Commission, in its meeting on 11.07.2024, considered the proposal of the secretariat of the Competition Authority on the approval of the Guide “On the implementation of law no. 9121/2003 “On the Protection of Competition” for collective agreements regarding the working conditions of self-employed persons.
This Instruction helps the Competition Authority, in the implementation of Law no. 9121/2003, take into account the implementation of other rules or principles of the Albanian legal framework, as well as clarifies the conditions in which some self-employed persons and other parties can enter into negotiations and collective agreements without risking to violate Article 4 of Law no. 9121/2003.
Competition Commission with decision no. 1093, dated 11.07.2024 decided on the approval of the Guide “On the implementation of Law no. 9121/2003 “On the protection of competition” for collective agreements regarding the working conditions of self-employed persons”.
Also, the Competition Commission considered the application for changing the tariff level for the regional enterprise Ujësjellës Kanalizime Pogradec JSC.
From the review and assessment of the information on the application for the change of the tariff level as well as the corresponding draft decision “On the approval of the change of the water supply service fees and the removal of polluted water for the regional enterprise Ujësjellës Kanalizime Pogradec JSC”, the Competition Commission with decision no. 1094, dated 11.07.2024, decided to recommend to the Water Regulatory Body the following:
- The changed tariffs, which will be approved by ERRU for the regional enterprise Ujësjellës Kanalizime Pogradec JSC, should be oriented towards the cost of services and be based on the principle of non-discrimination.
- The approval of the change in tariffs, considered by KKRR, should be published on ERRU’s official website.
- To make transparent on the official website of the Municipality of Pogradec, the regional enterprise Ujësjellës Kanalizime Pogradec JSC, the public hearing sessions held with interested parties for the proposed change of tariffs.
