Tirana, June 26, 2025 – The Competition Commission, at the meeting on 26.06.2025, reviewed the applications for the amendment of tariff levels for drinking water supply and wastewater disposal services for the following regional undertakings:
- Ujësjellës Kanalizime Berat JSC,
- Ujësjellës Kanalizime Elbasan JSC,
- Ujësjellës Kanalizime Korçë JSC,
After analyzing the relevant information and draft decisions, the Commission decided to recommend to the Water Regulatory Authority (WRA) that the new tariffs, which will be approved, be:
- oriented towards the cost of the services and
- based on the principle of non-discrimination.
Furthermore, the Competition Commission requests that the decisions approving the tariffs be published in a transparent manner on the official website of the Water Regulatory Authority (ERRU), in order to ensure public access to information and the protection of the public interest in this sector.
The relevant decisions are as follows:
- Decision no. 1190, dated 26.06.2025 – for UK Berat JSC;
- Decision no. 1191, dated 26.06.2025 – for UK Elbasan JSC;
- Decision no. 1192, dated 26.06.2025 – for UK Korçë JSC
