The Competition Commission, in its meeting on 14.01.2025, reviewed two concentration notifications.

The Competition Commission, in its meeting on 14.01.2025, reviewed two concentration notifications:

  • The proposed concentration for the creation of a full-function joint venture by Daimler Truck AG and Aktiebolaget Volvo.
  • The concentration obtained through the acquisition of control over Diaverum AB by M42 LTD.

Based on the conducted analysis, the transactions do not create overlaps or vertical relationships between the activities of the parties at the national level. Furthermore, they do not indicate any restriction of competition in the market or a part thereof, as a result of the creation or strengthening of a dominant position, nor are they expected to bring changes or have an impact on the Albanian market.

For these reasons, the Competition Commission, decided:

  1. By Decision No. 1148, dated 14.01.2025, to authorize the proposed concentration for the creation of a full-function joint venture by Daimler Truck AG and Aktiebolaget Volvo.
  2. By Decision No. 1149, dated 14.01.2025, to authorize the concentration obtained through the acquisition of control over Diaverum AB by M42 LTD.
