The Competition Authority, in accordance with the Commission’s Decision No. 1114, dated 4.10.2024, “On launching an in-depth investigation into the wholesale collection and sale of fruits and vegetables in the regions of Tirana, Elbasan, Berat, Fier, and Korça,” invites any farmer or group of farmers producing vegetables such as onions, leeks, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, and peppers, as well as fruits such as apples, oranges, lemons, strawberries, and pears, to submit any evidence or information to the Competition Authority that demonstrates the existence of prohibited agreements by collectors. These agreements may harm productive farmers and hinder free competition, particularly concerning price fixing.
The Authority guarantees every farmer for the maintenance of confidentiality and appropriate anonymity.
