Focus – Educating and Raising Awareness Among Future Professionals on the Importance of Free, Fair, and Effective Competition.
Tirana, 20 May 2025– The Competition Authority and EPOKA University signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at promoting free and effective competition through education and academic collaboration.
The signing ceremony took place at the university premises and was followed by an open lecture on the role of the Authority in the market, delivered by the Chairman, Mr. Denar Biba. “Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen the culture of competition and prepare young professionals who contribute to an open and fair economy”, remarked Mr. Biba during his speech.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Chairwoman of the Competition Authority, Mrs. Leida Matja, and the Director of Market Surveillance for Productive Sectors, Mrs. Mimoza Kodhelaj.
The agreement envisions lectures, trainings, student internships, and joint projects in the field of competition. The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, along with other university officials, welcomed this collaboration.
The Competition Authority values cooperation with academic institutions as an important means to raise awareness and knowledge about competition legislation.
