In collaboration with the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and with the support of the TAIEX instrument of the European Union, a delegation from the Competition Authority is conducting an official visit to Warsaw, Poland, from 9 to 11 December 2024. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and gain expertise in the field of competition protection.
The visit includes the exchange of experiences and best practices through presentations by senior representatives of UOKiK on topics such as institutional efficiency, legal evaluations and legislative processes, unfair trade practices in the agricultural sector, control of concentrations, and transparency through effective public communication.
A key highlight of the agenda was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Competition Authorities of Albania and Poland. This agreement aims to facilitate and enhance cooperation between the two institutions in the enforcement of competition laws and the implementation of competition policies.
This visit also seeks to improve and modernize work practices in the field of competition, refine policies to serve its objectives, and further intensify bilateral relations between Albania and Poland in the area of competition protection.
